Synopsis

Reaching the age of 40 is scary and wonderful at the same time. This age is perhaps the most meaningful turning point in a woman's life. Suddenly you are in the middle of life and the immediate things that come to mind are growing old, finally finding some ‘zen’ in daily dealings, natural grace, getting wrinkles under your eyes, graying hair, more lust than ever before or the loss of it.

Women in their 40's have experience by now, they have been there, done that, they got the T-Shirts... They feel the need and the ability to make changes; they still have so much ahead.

We wish to see how women in different parts of the world deal with the different paths they took and what do all women at this age have in common.

We aim to create TV-series and an interactive cross-media platform which will document, discuss and create networks between women in their 40s in different parts of the world. We show women in their 40s through an innovative, international, real-time documentary project that will celebrate, expose, engage and explore their realities.

The project will approach all of those important issues in a way that creates a vibrant space of entertainment that will challenge, provoke, inspire and celebrate the new found freedom that comes with the age.
